Homemade Wheat Noodles
Noodles is always our favorite recipe but we are all scared to use the ready made noodles from the shops because of added preservatives and other harmful ingredients, this is a healthy homemade version of wheat noodles made without any sauces.

Quantity | Ingredients for making Wheat Noodles |
For the dough | |
1 cup | Wheat flour(130 g) |
1/2 tsp | Salt |
2 tbsp | Oil |
1-5 tbsp | Water or as required |
For making Noodles | |
2 tbsp | Oil |
1 cloves | Garlic |
1 | Onion |
2 | Carrot |
1 | Capsicum |
1 cup | Cabbage |
1 tsp | Garam masala |
1 tsp | Chili powder |
1/8 tsp | Pepper powder |
1 tsp | Lemon juice |
required Salt |
Cooking Method
Step 1) Into a mixing bowl add wheat flour, salt, oil and mix it well, then gradually add water and knead it into a tight stiff dough. Cover and let it rest for 1 hr.
Step 2) Dust the work area with flour and stuff the murukku maker with the dough and press it. It will be a little hard to press but dont give up, press it hard and sprinkle flour to the pressed noodles to prevent sticking.
Step 3) Boil water in a sauce pan and add some salt. Add the noodles and cook on high for 5 minutes. Drain and keep it aside.
Step 4) Heat oil in a pan and add chopped garlic, give it a stir and add sliced onion, then the veggies - carrot, capsicum and cabbage.Cook for a minute.
Step 5) Now to this add garam masala, chili powder, salt pepper and mix well. Finally add the cooked noodles from step 3 and turn off the heat. Now add some lemon juice and mix well.
